Dr Zishun Liu is currently a Professor in the International Center for Applied Mechanics, Xi’an Jiaotong University. Dr Liu received B.Eng., M.Eng. degrees in Applied Mechanics and Solid Mechanics from Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), and M.Eng., Ph.D. degrees in Solid Mechanics from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He served on the faculty of XJTU between 1986 and 1994, and as Senior Scientist, Scientist, Senior Research Engineer, Capability Group Manager, Team Leader at Institute of High Performance Computing, Singapore (IHPC) from 1999 to 2012. He is now Sanqin Chair Professor of XJTU and Executive Director of Int. Center for Applied Mechanics. He also holds Adjunct Professorships in NUS and IHPC.
Dr Liu is an active member of various leadership roles in editorial boards and professional communities as follow: Dr. Liu is an Editor-In-Chief of Int. Journal of Applied Mechanics and an Editor-In-Chief of Int. Journal of Computational Materials Science and Engineering. He serves on a few editorial boards, including Editor of Int. Journal of Aerospace and Lightweight Structures; Editorial board member of Int. Journal of Computational Method；Guest editor of Computational Materials Science; Editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Applied Mechanics; Editorial board member of Multidisciplinary Modeling in Materials and Structures; President of Singapore Association of Computational Mechanics; Executive Committee Member of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics Society of Singapore; Executive Committee Member of Materials Research Society of Singapore; Members of the International Union of Materials Research (IUMR); Member of the International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM).
刘子顺博士现任西安交通大学特聘教授，陕西省三秦特聘教授，西安交通大学国际应用力学中心执行主任。新加坡国立大学(NUS), 新加坡高性能计算研究院(IHPC)兼职教授。刘子顺博士在西安交通大学分别获应用力学专业学士学位和固体力学专业硕士学位；在新加坡国立大学分别获固体力学专业硕士和博士学位。
工作经历：1986年3月至1994年8月历任西安交通大学助教, 讲师, 副教授。1994年8月至1996年3月历任新加坡国立大学研究学者 (Research Scholar), 研究助理 (Research Assistant) 。1997年4月至1999年5月在新加坡特许工业任工程师。1999年5月至2012年7月历任新加坡高性能计算研究院 (IHPC， A*STAR) 高级研究工程师(Senior Research Engineer), 研究科学家(Research Scientist)，高级科学家 (Senior Scientist)。2005年4月至2012年7月担任IHPC固体力学研究部门副主任,工程力学研究部门主任，软物质研究部门主任。作为访问科学家分别在2005年在德国马克斯普朗克金属研究所、2006年和2008年在英国格拉斯哥大学做研究工作。
主要研究方向：软物质力学；计算力学；纳米力学。已在国际期刊杂志及国际会议发表论文一百多篇，其中发表在Int. J. of Solids and Structures 上的论文被评为”IJSS 2005-2008 年引用率最高作者奖”。并且作为课题负责人完成科研项目近百项，2010年所负责完成的科研项目得到新加坡科技研究局高性能计算研究院的最佳项目奖。
刘子顺博士现担任多个国际杂志的主编及编委，例如Int. Journal of Applied Mechanics和Int. Journal of Computational Materials Science and Engineering 的主编；Computational Materials Science的客座主编；Int. Journal of Aerospace and Lightweight Structures的副主编；Int. Journal of Computational Method和Multidisciplinary Modeling in Materials and Structures及应用力学学报（中国）的编委会成员。并担任新加坡计算力学学会主席；亚洲太平洋区计算力学学会常务理事；新加坡计算力学学会会士(Fellow）；新加坡材料学会执行常务理事；新加坡理论与应用力学学会执行常务理事；国际计算力学学会会员(IACM)；国际材料学会会员(IUMR)；并兼任新加坡国立大学博士生导师；新加坡南洋理工大学博士生导师；以及新加坡科技局 A-STAR Graduate Scholarships (AGS) 博士生导师。
从2007年至今，参与组织举办了多个国际会议。例如，在新加坡举办的9th Int. Conference on Analysis of Discontinuous Deformation (ICADD-9)；在美国举办的ASME 2009 Fall Workshop & Conference: Recent Developments and Applications in Engineering and Medicine等。作为新加坡材料学会执行理事主办了大型国际会议ICMAT 2007、ICMAT 2009 & IUMRS-ICA 2009以及ICMAT2011。同时，还担任2013年亚太第五届计算力学大会的组委会主席。多次受邀在美国、英国、日本、加拿大、新加坡、中国、捷克的大学及研究机构做特邀学术报告。
